Family child care providers want to provide the highest quality care possible to the children and families in their programs. But, family child care providers are also small business owners, so they must not only know child development and best practices, they also need to have business systems in place that allow their business to operate smoothly so the provider can focus on caring for children.
There are a lot of resources available to providers. Actually, there is so much information and so many resources out there that sometimes it can be overwhelming, and sifting through it all can be frustrating and time consuming.
My goal is to gather as much of these resources as possible together for providers here in one place in the hopes that providers can easily access the information and resources they need to start, maintain and grow their business, while providing the highest quality care possible.
The Family Child Care Academy is a place where providers can find handouts and materials, articles, videos and links to websites, resources and information on all things family child care, including business, child development, curriculum and environments, training and professional development, as well as public policy and future trends in the industry.
